These grinders are made of a thick glass base with a brushed steel topper, the grinding mechanism feels very durable and features a small knob to twist to adjust the size of the grinds. While the product itself is beautiful and feels very well made the grinder adjustment is not clear and requires some trial and error in order to achieve the preferred granule size. Though, upon getting these adjusted properly they work wonderfully and do not spill out after grinding. The lids are easy to remove but also do not fall off if bumped and have the MYS logo etched onto the top but in a way that is not overwhelming, it does not detract from the design.
The grinders also included a julienne peeler, small silicone funnel, and black mini brush. These were all well made and worked as expected, however the only one of the three that gets used often is the small silicone funnel. While the peeler works well and feels very heavy duty, I still prefer my everyday peeler and thus this peeler tends to stay in my kitchen utensil drawer. The small black brush is great for cleasning small parts or hard to reach places, especially the screw tops of our sippy cups. The small silicone funnel is the perfect size for refilling the salt and pepper grinders as well as various herb jars, this gets a lot of use in our home and allows us to buy our herbs in bulk!
